1st Annual 4-Ball Classic, Dec. 4-6, 2017
In August of this year the Town of Santee, sitting on the south shore of Lake Marion, was recognized as one of the top spots in America to view the Total Eclipse. Fast forward to the first weekend of December of this year and it will be the only spot in America where you might catch Santa’s sleigh making an early run.
That sleigh will be full of Tour Edge and FootJoy goodies being delivered to golfers participating in Santee’s 1st Annual Winter 4-Ball Classic December 4-6, 2017. These golfers will believe in Santa again!
The Tournament will be a 3 round and 2 night affair with breakfast, lunch and dinner included daily. Off course there will be some ice cold adult refreshments too!
Plus…Each golfer taking part in the event will receive:
A Tour Edge Fairway Wood or Rescue.
Footjoy wind shirt
1 Dozen golf balls
Tournament Golf Shirt
All for only $499.00 per person!
There will be some cash prizes up for grabs, more golf goodies and gift certificates.
No doubt some of the shooters will be up for some Skins!
Day 1: Monday is check in day at Lake Marion Golf Club and when you get all your goodies. You can then step on to the 1st tee and try your new gifts during your practice round. Step off the course and you can walk right over to dinner as the Lake Marion villas hospitality center is within the Santee Cooper complex.
We are hoping that all practice rounds will be completed before 6 PM in order to attend the Welcome Reception and dinner.
Day 2: Tuesday will be the first day of competition. This is a shot gun start, less than a mile down the road at Santee National. Best ball format, 2 best balls of 4 gross with teams being flighted after day 1 scores.
Day 3: Wednesday’s final round will see the teams divided into partner teams of two – Captains Choice format with best score of the team counting. Lunch and awards will take place at Lake Marion Golf Club after play!
Tour Edge Golf is the best club on the market that does not throw money at PGA Tour players, yet if you get a chance to peek under some of the head covers of tour players you may find fairway woods and hybrids disguised. Tour Edge is much more interested in re-investing into research and technology and letting the product speak for itself.
For you that can barely hit it 200 yards off the tee, take note of the Exotics XJ1 Driver with the industry first 9-1-1 titanium body, lighter and stronger than any in the industry. At the recent Mile High Shootout – Long Drive competition Phyllis Meti launched a new long drive record with a mammoth 408 drive using the XJ1. Check out some of Golf Digest 2017 Hot Products and you will see some of Tour Edge’s hot products. www.touredge.com
Once you get to Santee for this event you will not have much in the way of driving to do! The Town of Santee is located smack dab right on I-95, just off the Interstate and you are there! Santee Cooper Resorts is home to two of three courses, Lake Marion and Santee Cooper Country Club, and is right in the Town as well as being the host property with villas and townhomes for groups looking for quad accommodations.
Clark’s Inn & Restaurant, about ½ a mile from Lake Marion Golf Club, is the perfect spot for those looking for accommodations based on double occupancy. Tuesday evening’s dinner and reception will be hosted at Clark’s, arguably the best and certainly the classiest restaurant in Town.
Santee has been welcoming thousands upon thousands of golfers for years and has been home to the annual mid-summer Patriot’s Day Tournament (9 years) so a Winter Classic was a natural addition. Santee is a year round destination with three courses all within a mile of each other in Town with another dozen or so to choose from within 40 minutes of town.
From condos and villas to apartments and hotel style accommodations you will find Stay & Play Golf Packages that suit any budget and you will be hard pressed to find better value anywhere in America.
