Located in the footsteps of the scenic Red Rock National Park, within a short drive of the Las Vegas strip, and four hours from the metropolitan areas of Los Angeles, California and Phoenix, Arizona, the PGA TOUR’s TPC Las Vegas is home to one of the longest standing golf courses, as clubs come and go in the market and is the only public PGA TOUR facility in Nevada.
In a joint effort between TPC Las Vegas, the PGA TOUR and course architects, Bobby Weed and Raymond Floyd, the property was designed to be a destination for buddy groups, celebrities, golf aficionados and PGA TOUR players to enjoy its true desert experience with a stunning backdrop of Red Rock Canyon. The project team’s goal was to amplify the scenic views of the surrounding mountains, canyons and the famed Las Vegas skyline while giving world-class golf and tournament experiences to guests that visit the property.
Over the last decade, TPC Las Vegas has focused on delivering superb conditioning, a beautiful layout, excellent customer service and the overall “highest standards in the golf industry.” TPC Las Vegas served as host of the Champion’s TOUR Las Vegas Senior Classic from 1997-1999 and the PGA TOUR’s Shriner’s Hospitals for Children Open from 2001-2006.
Playing at TPC Las Vegas offers golfers the chance to experience the same standards of quality and service that are typically reserved for the pros. Touring professionals that call TPC Las Vegas home include Kevin Na, Bill Lunde, Ryan Moore, Dean Wilson, Bob May, John Reigger, Alex Cejka, Ernie Gonzales, Craig Barlow, Charlie Hoffman and Bob Byman.
The property offers challenges for every skill set on the club’s 7,104 yard and par-71 course layout providing multiple sets of tee boxes offering the ultimate experience in Las Vegas golf for players of all skill levels. Each hole is named for its natural surroundings – the par-3 second hole, named “Canyon,” will test any player’s ability for a 200 yard tee shot to an island green in the middle of desert. As one of the few golf courses to offer the option of blended tee yardage, men and women alike can play less forced carries but challenge the mid-handicap golfer.
