A Touch of Class in Golf’s Little Big Town
Just like most of you I have only seen it on TV, Butler Cabin the historic and quaint setting in which the honorary passing of the Green Jacket takes place as a new Masters winner is crowned. Although it is unlikely that any past winner of the Masters has ever stepped foot in Clarks Inn and Restaurant.
It was during a media visit to Santee while using the lounge area adjacent to the English Style Pub at Clarks for a PGA Tour Radio Broadcast, across from the stone fireplace, we look around at the classic leather and wood décor that the cozy, classic semblance sets in. It was at this moment that it was also determined that the small Town of Santee had so much to offer – thus the branding of Santee as Golf’s Little Big Town!
Clarks Restaurant is the historic symbol of Santee as it was the first business in Santee est. in 1946, today is still one of the finest restaurants in the region and has been recognized by Southern Living on more than one occasion as a place to dine and a place to stay. Historic it may be, but certainly modern and up to date with 6 Tesla Supercharge stations (more to come) and in style with many options to rest down in. From basic rooms to one bedroom apartments and for groups – special function rooms and conference facilities.
For your next South Carolina golf vacation consider visiting Santee and get the feel of our Butler Cabin.
