The TOUR of Greater Boston, The Only Golf Club with 990 Holes.

Founded in 1991, the TOUR is a “club without real estate”.  An official USGA / MGA member golf club, our members enjoy many of the benefits of “regular” courses.

What makes the TOUR Different than my other golfing options?

It’s about the courses

When you join the Tour, you play on some of the best courses in New England, public and private. Places like Myopia Hunt Club, Red Tail, Eastward Ho!, Oyster Harbors, Thorney Lea, Wannamoisset,  Granite Links, Blue Hill CC, and more. Included in the over 50 events offered each year are 10 of the top courses in MA/NH/RI (as rated by Golf Digest Magazine).

It’s about the competition

Every event is a competition designed for amateur golfers with handicaps from 0.0 to the high 20s.  Each tournament offers prizes for both gross and net.

The TOUR provides a variety of tournament formats. Event formats include stroke play, stableford, team events (fourball, ABCD), and 27-hole mixed format days. Plus there’s a season-long match play event that’s very popular.

It’s about the club

Whatever caused you to join the TOUR, we find that Members renew year-after-year not simply because of the golf, but because of the people they meet, the friendships they form, and the laughter and (mis)adventures they share while playing this game.

The Tour culture is “seriously relaxed”. Our members respect the game, the rules, and pace of play; but while the events have a competitive atmosphere, the primary focus is enjoying a round of golf on a great course, and the 19th hole is less than serious.

It’s about the simplicity

The TOUR uses a virtual clubhouse where all of the administrative activity is managed.  Sign up for events with a click of the mouse, request to be paired with a friend you met, register a guest, or join in a conversation or find “off TOUR” playing partners on the bulletin board.  Payments are coordinated through the web as well, so all you have to do is show up, check in at the TOUR registration table, and play.

An Annual TOUR membership is just $150, and then you pay only for the events you choose.  Most events cost $90 – $125 but some of the real premium courses will cost a little more. While the TOUR puts on over 50 events each year, the average TOUR member only plays in 6 – 10 of them.
